Let’s have the Swiss chard tell the story of Toronto’s most ambitious school garden.
Until this week’s frost, the chard has been growing in front of Bendale Business and Technical Institute, a Scarborough high school, in raised cedar bed gardens built, planted and cared for by students.
Anton Crawford is one of the teenagers who has been harvesting the red and yellow chard for his landscaping and gardening class.
